Removal of tattoos

This technique is used to address different colors of tattoo ink depending on the specific light absorption spectrum of the tattoo pigments. Typically, black and other darker colored ink can be completely removed using Q-switched lasers while lighter colors such as yellow and green are still very difficult to remove. Success can depend on many factors such as skin color, ink color and the depth to which the ink was applied.
